Years ago, I started a series of paintings I called “Fugitive; Portrait of Mother Earth”. Every year or two I add another piece to this series.  I refer to our planet as a fugitive because of mankind’s relentless persecution of it. I portray our earth as a lone woman forever on the run. Just as there are those who pursue her for her riches purely to gain power and profit, there are those who would offer her refuge; a safe place to at long last end her eternal flight.
