There is no sweeter repose than that of a child in his mother’s arms or snuggled on her back. I often see the women vendors in the streets of Cabo San Lucas with a little one strapped to their back. In this painting, this sleeping angel is bathed in sunlight (happiness). I wanted to thank my mother for figuratively carrying me and my siblings on her back for so many years.
