Storytellers

In this painting I re-visit an on-going theme in my work of integrating old and new; the past, the present, the future. In the background I painted a contemporary grouping of four women, to symbolize the present. They face away from the viewer, peering into a far-off future. In the foreground I superimposed a repeated motif, the “spirit” or silhouette of a pre-Columbian feminine sculpture, representing the past. Past, present, future; life is an endless continuum.
