Queen of the Desert

I spend many months of the year in the desert country of Baja California Sur each year. The stark and savage beauty of the desert is incredible. Looking out on this landscape, particularly in the shadows of twilight, I often imagine the many standing cacti to be the spirits of the proud Mexican Indian people who inhabited this harsh peninsula for centuries.
